GIRLY GIRL

Have you come across this type specimen: A girl who is as “girly” as she can be but is apparently oblivious about it.

She is the sum total of all the (stereotypical) features that men (and society in general) find desirable in a female: Fair, thin, long hair, grooms herself, wears ‘western attires’, and behaves borderline immature (using the childish voice once in a while). The most interesting feature about this type specimen is an intentional denial of being unaware of her ‘beauty’ (I mean society’s twisted notions of beauty). She seems (most likely intentionally) blissfully unaware of her effects on men and women around her. She speaks with the boys using slangs that boys would typically use, so as to project a “I am one of the guys” feeling. She asks for favours often not understanding that no one will say no to her. She feels that boys are always nice to her, joke with her, are funny and always trying to help because they are nice people, and not because they want to score with her.

Have you met such a girly girl?

What do you make of it? Do you think the oblivion they operate under is genuine or fake?
